Leon M. Walsh, Jr.

Leon graduated from the Florida State University College of Law in 2009. During law school, Leon excelled in the classroom and was recognized for his dedication to providing legal services to those in need through pro bono work.  Prior to studying law, Leon received his Bachelors of Business Administration with honors from Western Michigan University where he studied business management.

After law school, Leon worked for the Office of the Public Defender for the 20th Judicial Circuit where he gained valuable trial experience. He handled all aspects of representation including drafting and arguing motions in pretrial evidentiary hearings, case investigation and negotiation, and developing strategies for jury trials. Leon served as lead counsel on numerous jury trials ranging from misdemeanors to felony offenses punishable by life in prison.

After nearly four years as an assistant public defender, Leon sought civil litigation experience which led to him accepting a position with a small firm in Fort Myers, Florida. As a civil litigator, Leon represented clients in a myriad of legal issues which includes first-chair jury trial experience in state and federal courts where he represented plaintiffs in personal injury cases.

When he is not working, Leon enjoys volunteering in the community, golfing, spending time with family, and rooting for the Seminoles.
