Johns Hopkins Researchers Release Shocking Results of Medical Malpractice Investigation

Researchers at Johns Hopkins Hospital conducted a cautious and rigorous study of national medical malpractice claims, and found some shocking results: the researchers found that a surgeon in the U.S. leaves a foreign object in a patient’s body post-surgery about 39 times per week, performs the wrong surgery on a patient 20 times per week, and operates on the wrong body site 20 times per week.
